Getting to Samal Island from Davao City

The Samal Island is a small island off the coast of Davao del Norte also known as IGACOS or Island Garden City of Samal. Its scenery is a combination of rocky heights and white sand beaches. There are also waterfalls, coves, caves and dive spots for those who look for awesome experiences.

In going to Island Garden City of Samal from Davao City, there are some ways that you may consider:

via Sta. Ana Wharf
You can take ferry boats near Magsaysay Park that will directly bring you to Kaputian Beach Wharf and the time is merely about an hour.

via Sasa Km. 11 Wharf
Located along JP Laurel Avenue, Sasa, Km. 11 wharf is where motorboats are available to ferry passengers directly to Babak Wharf.

via IGACOS Ferry Terminal
There are Samal Island buses in Magsaysay Park that will take you to IGACOS ferry terminal. The bus will ride a ferry to Kinawitnon Wharf in Samal Island until it reaches Penaplata.

  6. i wonder why bloggers do not seem to care to post the rates/cost of transportation. It may be cheap when you are travelling alone but when in a big group it may be a different story.
