How to get to Baguio City

Baguio City, the country's summer capital, it is popular destination that even the head of the country, the President, has an official summer home in the city. Baguio City is the capital of Benguet Province, about 240 kilometers north of Manila. It is the gateway to the Cordillera region, known for its wondrous mountains, valleys and hills. 

Main Highways to Baguio

There are different ways to reach Baguio City, depending on where you will be coming from. First, there are the major highways leading to the city: Rosario, La Union: Kennon Road, Rosario / Agoo, La Union: Marcos Highway Banuang, La Union: Quirino Highway Benguet to Mountain Province and Ifugao Halsema Road.

Driving Directions to Baguio via SCTEx:

From EDSA going to Monumento, turn right towards NLEX, take Dau exit tool gate and follow the SCTEx spur. Turn right on seeing directions signs to Tarlax City. On reaching Tarlac City continue driving along MacArthur Highway, pass by Tarlac Towns of Panique, Moncada, San Miguel, Carmen Rosales, Villasis, Urdaneta City, Ponzzorubio, Sison, then the towns of Rosario, La Union Province.

On seeing a police station in Rosario, you will be notice two ways, if you choose right, you will take to Baguio City via Kennon Road which is about 30 minutes from Kennon Road Toll Gate. If you choose left, you may take Marcos Highway to Baguio City via Pugo or drive all the way to La Union , and Ilocos (Vigan, Laoag, Pagudpud).

How to get from Manila to Baguio City buy Bus

Whether you are from Caloocan, Pasay, or Sampaloc, there is an available bus going to Baguio City like Victory Liner. They have respective terminals in the mentioned places. In Caloocan, there is a terminal located at Rizal Avenue Extension, Caloocan City, Cubao Terminal is in EDSA, Cubao; Pasay Terminal is in   EDSA, Pasay ; and Sampaloloc Terminal is in EspaƱa, corner Galicia Street, Sampaloc, Manila. All of the above terminals travel to  and from Baguio. Average  bus fare right now for Victory Liner to Baguio is around 450 pesos.But if you want to travel in style by land , there is a luxury travel to Baguio also which costs around 700 pesos.
