I helped Clean Manila Bay

The Manila Bay Clean-Up Run 2012 was held last July 15, 2012 at the CCP Complex and parts of Roxas Boulevard. This is the second year for the Manila Bay Cleanup Run wherein the Manila Broadcasting Company aims to raise funds help clean up the Manila Bay from trash and pollutants. As well as to raise awareness among Filipinos to take care of our environment and preserve our city's natural beauty starting with the picturesque ecology of the Manila Bay.

When I got there , the 15km runners were already line up at the starting line, excited for their turn. Gun start was just a minute away. We could already feel the pleasure around us as the runners did their last minutes stretches. As the clock hit 5:30 , the race finally started.

I wasn't able to run fast because of some runners -3k, 5k, 10k and 15k-suddenly met at some point and it was difficult for me to ran to get through the crowd of walkers. Several people just stopped somewhere in the middle of the route to take pictures.Even though, the Manila Bay Clean-Up Run was the most fulfilling because I beat my own record in the previous runs. As if my record's worth beating lol. I also decreased walking time compared to the previous runs where I walked for about one-fourth of the race. 

By God's grace, I helped clean Manila Bay in the most unusual way. Congratulations to everyone that participated the Manila Bay Clean-Up Run 2012.
